How to Bake with Coconut Flour: A Google Hangout

Cake slice 2

Oh hello there! Remember me?

Nope, I don’t have a new recipe for you today. (Cooking? What’s that? I don’t make anything these days but lactation cookies – perhaps when there’s time to blog again, that will be the recipe I share.) But I do want to let you know that I’m alive, well, and you can see for yourself in a Google + Hangout tomorrow where I’ll be talking with the fine people from Bob’s Red Mill about baking with coconut flour. Joining me will be a bunch of other fabulous gluten-free bloggers: Jeanette from Jeanette’s Healthy Living, Lexie from Lexie’s Kitchen, Kelly from The Spunky Coconut, Carolyn from All Day I Dream About Food, and Jane The Heritage Cook.

If you’ve tried to bake with coconut flour before, you might have found it a little tricky. If you haven’t, this will be a great introduction to this high fiber, healthy alternative to wheat flour.

Click here to signup for the Hangout – or you can check back here for the YouTube link afterwards for our panel discussion on Baking with Coconut Flour. Our session will be recorded and uploaded to YouTube so you can watch it whenever you want.

Three winners will also be chosen to receive 2 bags of Coconut Flour and a $20 Bob’s Red Mill gift card at the end of the hangout! Hope you’ll join us!

In the meantime, check out a great variety of coconut flour recipes from our panelists:

Five Minute Mug Brownie, Lexie’s Kitchen
Chocolate Marble Cupcakes, Jeanette’s Healthy Living
Chocolate Chocolate Chip Pancakes, All Day I Dream About Food
Chocolate Coconut Flour Cupcakes, All Day I Dream About Food
Coconut Flour Crepes with Lemon Ricotta, All Day I Dream About Food
Onion Poppy Seed Bagels and Cinnamon Raisin Bagels, The Spunky Coconut
Mini Boulder Cream Doughnuts, The Spunky Coconut
Quinoa and Coconut Waffles, The Spunky Coconut

and a few more of my coconut flour recipes!

Hope to see you there! And you may catch a glimpse of my babe resting on my shoulder if that’s what she feels like doing at the time 🙂

Don’t you even worry about blogging right now. You’ve got more important (and waaaaaay cuter) things to worry about!

I had planned to make something with coconut flour once, but I never did – I should see if I can find it in the pantry.
