Sunday Funday – May 13th, 2012 |
Also known as the Mothers Day edition of Sunday Funday.
Last night I fired up the grill for something mojito-y, and I made something chocolate-y. Mom caught the update and wondered why she wasn’t invited over to celebrate last night instead of today. Sadly, I have no good reason other than, I didn’t really dream up these goodies until a few hours before they became reality. That’s sort of how a lot of food around here comes to be.
Let’s make a deal that soon enough, we’ll all get to enjoy mojitos and chocolate together.
In the meantime, I dug up a few of our grilling old faithfuls – meals we’d like to eat again and again, and ones that I know you love too (thank you, pinterest.)

While this last one doesn’t involve any cooking on the grill, any grilling-related recipe roundup would be incomplete without it. This southwestern-inspired pasta salad brimming with black beans, avocados, corn, salsa, lime and cumin is a staple in my family, and has always been one of the most popular posts on my blog. If you’re looking for a side dish to bring to any summer party, this is it.

That pasta salad does look like the perfect potluck dish! Hope you post the recipe for the chocolatey dessert soon and that you’re having a great weekend!
