Bake For Hope: Your chance to bid on my protein bars! |
You guys remember how last year Jen and I organized a Blogger Bake for Hope to raise money for breast cancer research and awareness? This year is a little different; I had to let Jen take the reins and run with it. And running she is! Well, walking, anyway. Jen, along with blogger Fiona of A Boston Food Diary, are both participating in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer this June. All proceeds raised from this bake sale will be donated to their cause. Last year we raised nearly $3000 – think we can top it this year?
I am donating a batch of my gluten-free, vegan, refined sugar-free protein bars. I know it seems a little unorthodox since protein bars aren’t usually thought of as indulgent, and heck, mine aren’t even baked. But, I promise you, these are good enough to eat for dessert. Trust me, I have.
The winner will have a choice of the Mint Chocolate Protein Bars I posted a few weeks ago (sorta – I think the recipe is going to be upgraded a bit!) and these other flavors not yet seen on my blog: Peanut Butter Cup, Apple Cobbler, or Pina Colada. I don’t know about you, but there’s just about nothing I’d rather eat as a grab-and-go breakfast for pre-workout snack, and yes, even dessert.
So won’t you make my day and make a bid? Hurry – you only have ’til Wednesday night!
