12 Husband-Approved Healthy Recipes

As 2010 winds to a close, I have a few new healthy tricks up my sleeve. But rather than bombard you just yet, I thought it would be fun to recap some of the highlights of this year. Ok fine, I’m simply jumping on a bandwagon of blog roundups. But is anyone else having their significant other handpick their top twelve healthy recipes? Not that I’ve seen!

As the cook in this household, I’m obviously biased and love just about everything you see here. So I thought if I asked my husband to choose his favorite healthy recipe from each month, you’d truly believe me that these recipes are the best of the best. Food that not only I enjoy, but that others are sure to savor as well.

Plus, I sometimes enjoy having others make decisions for me.

So here we go with Ben’s favorite foods of 2010, month by month!

January
Salmon Tacos with Beet-Ctirus Salsa
February
Crunchy Peanut-Panko Shrimp
March
Baked Haddock with Feta-Yogurt Sauce
April
Zucchini Noodles with Shrimp & Goat Cheese
May
Spiced Chicken & Grape Skewers
June
Wasabi Goat Cheese Stuffed Salmon with Miso
July
Shrimp in Romesco Sauce with Smoked Goat Cheese Polenta
August
Black Bean & Feta Tacos
September
Eggplant Stacks with Fig & Melted Brie
October
Pomegranate-Chili Glazed Tuna
November
Pumpkin Polenta with Chicken Sausage, White Beans, and Chard
 December
No surprise here – he went with the Latke Benny!
Thank you, Ben, for always being a willing taste-tester and honest critic. Here’s to an even more delicious 2011!

Haha I love that you had Ben round these up! I actually find it impossible to make decisions for round-ups like these. Best to have someone who's not as emotionally invested in each dish do it!They all look wonderful!

Way to go hubby! Mine has definitely come a long way but isn't quite at the eggplant eating stage yet. He's a pretty good hubby/dad though so I guess I'll keep him around. πŸ˜‰
