Away we go! |
Hi friends! Don’t you just love Memorial Day weekend? Racing out of work on a gorgeous Friday afternoon and leaving the stress behind feels just fabulous. Maybe you have a weekend full of yardwork or maybe you’ll be barbecue-hopping with friends and family, but the good news is, it’s all about YOU.
So this year, I’m actually not doing either of the above mentioned things, which are what I would usually be doing this weekend. Instead, I’m packing my bags and heading far, far away! This is longest, furthest away vacation we’ve taken since our honeymoon, and it feels good (and we haven’t even left yet!) We’ll be spending almost two weeks away. Oh, you want to know where?
Greece!
Specifically, two nights in Athens, five in Santorini and three in Mykonos. I couldn’t be happier. Believe it or not I’ve been getting a lot of “Why Greece?” Heck, why not?! There are things we must do and places we must see before we have kids, right? Now is the time.
Unfortunately I didn’t get my rear in gear and whip up some yummy meals for you to try out while I’m gone. But just for fun I did a little googlin’ on my own blog for the word “Greek.” Maybe you can live vicariously through me by trying some of these out?
But just keep in mind, I make no guarantees that they are actually Greek dishes! Most of them probably just turned up because I used Greek yogurt. But like I said, this is for fun! So please, dear Greek friends, take no offense ๐ And speaking of fun, note the photo skills progression, some of these are really old.

Greece is fantastic and so is Santorini! Take advantage of the tours and bring a bathing suit you can get ruined if you decide to jump in the sulfur pools!
